From J6 to Ukraine’s Frontlines: an American Foreign Fighter opens our eyes to FREEDOM

I am writing with gratitude to close this chapter of my campaign to support Ukraine’s Military (ZSU). I am proud to say that since beginning this campaign earlier this year, in a very short time span as part of our community effort we have netted $7,000 in proceeds for ZSU. Through my passion for journalism and fundraising, I have had the rare privilege to understand military through the lens of real people who fought this war. One of these people are Jeremy Michael Miller, an American who fought for ZSU as part of the American-led foreign unit Chosen Company.

Before his military tours to Ukraine, Jeremy Miller, a.k.a. “Tennessee” was also a protestor at the J6 patriotic demonstrations at the capitol, and is currently being persecuted by the US government for his activism against tyranny.

For Ukrainian Americans who know their history, you will understand that even the most violent protestors of the Maidan revolution are revered as national heroes. I went to Ukraine this year myself, and documented personal accounts of the national martyrs and war heroes who began their fight at the Maidan revolution. I have seen myself the shrines fixed on public roadways, and within the halls of Universities, to honor the freedom fighters of Maidan.

We should remember this when we consider those who put their lives on the line so we can be free of terrorist regime… and honestly ask ourselves, if we were even able to dream of being that brave, how we would honor their sacrifice.

I cannot help but imagine, how many lives would be saved if those who actually held power had that kind of fight in them…but from where i’m at, i have too long observed those who are supposed to take a stand, are instead weakly clinging to their seats……….
